All about the product
Coffee Beans Uganda Miwu Washed 250g Coffee Beans Uganda Miwu Washed is a single-origin specialty Arabica rated 85.75 on the SCA scale, crafted for enthusiasts of alternative brewing methods and those seeking expressive flavor profiles. This exceptional microlot, originating from high-altitude plantations, is a direct response to the issues of flat, earthy, and acidity-lacking drinks often associated with this African region. Due to a precise wet processing method and strict selection, home baristas obtain the raw material that ensures a clean, balanced beverage characterized by a noble body structure. The selection of these beans facilitates the revelation of all fruity nuances in everyday home conditions. Deep fruity sweetness is released through a 40-hour dry fermentation. Responsible for the unique and complex nature of the beans is a carefully thought-out technological process combining mechanical pulp removal with 40 hours of dry fermentation. This procedure allows for the creation of depth and saturates the raw material with fruity sweetness that effectively balances citrusy accents. Careful washing of the beans in cold mountain spring water and drying on African tables in solar driers protects the raw material from unwanted flavor changes. The result of such meticulous work is a crystal-clear washed profile, where individual sensory notes develop harmoniously and do not merge into a monolithic mass. The elegance of tea and citrus freshness, balanced with a caramel note. The sensory bouquet of Coffee Uganda Miwu Washed features high dynamism and an excellent beverage sensation, providing intense freshness. The first contact with the beverage reveals the juiciness of apple and the freshness of grapefruit, creating a pleasant, clean acidity. The liquid’s structure is based on the characteristic smoothness of black tea, which gives the entire experience a refined tone and prevents bitter accents from dominating. The aftertaste concludes with a subtle caramel sweetness, allowing the beverage to linger in the palate, leaving a balanced and pure impression without a smoky bitterness shadow. The high-altitude SL and Nyasaland varieties maturing for repeated extraction. The cultivation of rare Nyasaland, SL14, and SL28 varieties at 1800-2200 m above sea level in the mountain village of Miwu leads to slow fruit maturation. This process densifies the bean's cellular structure, concentrating valuable sugars and acids within it. The raw material supplied by farmer Wodeya Gilbert undergoes a sorting process that includes 12 steps before export, eliminating physical bean defects. For the consumer, this means uniform grinding in a burr grinder, ensuring stable extraction in a drip coffee maker, Chemex, or AeroPress, facilitating the achievement of a repeatable flavor in each brewed portion.
