Motors operating from 6 V to 24 V voltage and up to 10 A current per channel (max. 30), an extension with a two-channel controller. The system can be connected directly to Raspberry Pi minicomputer 3+, 3, 2, B+ and A+ GPIO ports.
Main features:
- Protection – Maker Drive has reverse polarity protection for Vin / Vmotor / Vbatt (motor power) terminals. This prevents the risk of damaging the motor by incorrectly connecting the power supply
- Compact design – the board's small dimensions are 43 x 35 x 14 mm
- Four buttons – the module has two buttons for each channel, allowing easy testing of motors without programming the microcontroller. You can check if the motor power is correctly connected using the buttons. No programming is required to use the buttons
- Four LEDs – the board has two LEDs for each channel, which make it easy to know if the module is connected and programmed correctly. Using these LEDs, you can check the direction of the output voltage without connecting the motors. The LEDs also help identify errors and facilitate troubleshooting
- Voltage regulator – Maker Drive has a voltage regulator that outputs 5 V, with a maximum output of 200 mA when powered from 2.5 V to 9.5 V. This allows controlling a control chip, such as Arduino, directly from the controller without needing an additional power supply. Now your project can be powered from a single power source. Maker Drive can be powered by two AA or AAA batteries or one Li-Ion or Li-Pol cell
- Regenerative braking control – ensures better motor speed control. Many applications use this feature, for example, line-following robots, as the controller can manage speed more accurately
