All about the product

Matcha is a powdered green tea that was invented in China during the Tang dynasty between the 7th and 10th centuries. It became very popular in the 10th and 12th centuries. Over time, it became so popular that Zen Buddhist monks considered it an essential element of meditation. They believed it cleansed the mind and body.

Over time, the development of the tea industry grew alongside the Chinese Empire. A vast selection of loose leaf teas gradually replaced matcha. In Japan, the matcha preparation ceremony was an indispensable element of Zen Buddhist orders' practices, later adopted by the shogun class.

What is the difference between Chinese and Japanese matcha:

Chinese matcha is darker in color and slightly more acidic in taste. Its aroma is more pronounced.

Japanese matcha has a lighter color, a subtler flavor, and greater sweetness.

Everyone can choose according to their taste preferences. Chinese matcha is excellent for baking and with milk.

Brewing method:

Matcha tea (about 3 g in a bowl of 150–200 ml) is poured with water at approximately 60–70 °C and vigorously stirred to create a homogeneous mixture.
