7075 ultra-light aviation aluminum
7075 aerospace-grade aluminum alloy features exceptional physical properties – wear resistance, deformation resistance, high stiffness, and extremely low weight. The chainring made from this alloy weighs only 143 g while maintaining excellent performance characteristics.
Based on the load contours from FEA technical analysis, the structure is reinforced in areas where the highest forces are concentrated, reducing deformation under heavy load. This allows achieving an ideal balance between weight, stiffness, and durability – exactly what professional cyclists require during training and racing.

CNC machining technology
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is a precise manufacturing process technology that ensures uniform and precise standards. The application of CNC technology allows all components to operate harmoniously and smoothly. Advanced CNC cutting and positioning technology boasts exceptional precision and efficiency.

Self-designed tooth shape
After numerous design iterations and research evaluating the performance and wear characteristics of different chainring tooth shapes, the "QED" lightweight split chainring received a self-designed third-generation tooth design.
Improved parameters of the root, groove, and tooth shapes ensure better mechanical transfer under heavy loads. The chain grips the chainring tightly and shifts smoothly from the smaller to the larger chainring.
The chain can shift to a larger chainring in just 1/5 of a turn – ensuring fast and precise shifting under various conditions and speeds.
Increased distance between teeth further strengthened the structure, thus prolonging its lifespan. The lifespan of the chain and chainring has increased by about 3% compared to the previous version.

110BCD 4-bolt chainring attachment
The "QED" lightweight split chainring uses the widely popular 110BCD 4-bolt standard, which reduces weight and provides wide compatibility.
In addition to the chainring, "Magene" also offers a power meter with an integrated spider solution. This can be used with the exclusive "QED P505" flagship power meter or the "PES P505" basic model, as needed.
The "QED" split chainring is compatible with 11 and 12-speed Shimano groups.
Not compatible with Shimano cranksets and similarly styled models.
