All about the product

Matcha is a powdered green tea that was invented in China during the Tang dynasty between the 7th and 10th centuries. It became very popular in the 10th and 12th centuries. Over time, it became so popular that Zen Buddhist monks considered it an essential element of meditation. They believed it cleanses the mind and body.

Over time, the development of the tea industry grew alongside the Chinese empire. The vast selection of loose leaf teas gradually replaced matcha. In Japan, the matcha preparation ceremony became an indispensable element of Zen Buddhist orders, later taken over by the shogunate class.

What is the difference between Chinese and Japanese matcha:

Chinese matcha is darker in color and has a slightly more acidic taste. Its aroma is more pronounced.

Japanese matcha features a lighter color, subtler taste, and greater sweetness.

Everyone can choose according to their taste preferences. Chinese matcha is perfect for baking and with milk.

Brewing method:

Matcha tea (about 3 g in a 150–200 ml bowl) is poured with water at approximately 60–70 °C and stirred vigorously to create a homogeneous mixture.
