All about the product
The AD8232 is a heart rate monitor module from Sparkfun. It is a much cheaper alternative to medical equipment, allowing the measurement of heart electrical activity. It does this in a similar way to an electrocardiogram, sending a filtered analog signal to the output connector. Since EKG signals are very weak, the module has a built-in amplifier that allows these signals to be distinguished from the background. The signals are also filtered with a special filter that further reduces the influence of background noise on the data. The desired connection wires can be firmly soldered to the main board's solder pads SDN, LO+, LO-, OUTPUT, 3.3V, and GND, and the module also has additional pads for reading limb measurement readings (RA (Right Arm), LA (Left Arm), RL (Right Leg)) from additional sensors to be used.
Note: To use the module, biomedical stickers-electrodes and wires for muscle signal stickers are required, which are not included in the kit. The product is not intended for medical use, only for amateur exploration.
