A controller that increases the input voltage from 2.9 V to 20 V to a potentiometer-selected output value of 4.5 V to 20 V, assuming that the output voltage cannot be lower than the input voltage. The system can handle a maximum input current of 10 A, a typical input current brings 8 A for a few seconds, after which the thermal protection mode is activated. It is recommended to use up to 6 A, the converter can operate for many minutes. The output current is a function of the input voltage, the output voltage and the efficiency of the converter.
