All about the product
"Sthor" soldering iron 79365 in a traditional housing with a resistive heater powered directly from the mains socket. Due to its simple construction, the device is nearly flawless, and with proper care, the soldering iron will serve for many years. The power of the heater is sufficient for properly soldering two copper wires or the main electronics used in hole-mounted technologies.
- power supply: 230 V
- heater power: 30 W
- blade hole depth: approximately 50 mm
- maximum blade diameter 4.4 mm
Dimensions of the soldering iron supplied with the device:
- length: about 65 mm
- diameter: 3.7 mm
- tip diameter: diameter: 1.0 mm
Other dimensions:
- total length with bent wire: 230 mm
- handle length: about 120 mm
- power cord length: length: 140 cm
The soldering iron reaches 350 °C temperature in 3-4 minutes .
How to maintain the tip
The tips of "Sthor" soldering irons are coated with a material that reduces tip oxidation. Prolonged heating and mechanical damage gradually deteriorate the protective layer, in which case the tip oxidizes quickly, leading to problems soldering the solder joint. Instead of adhering and staying on the soldering iron tip, the solder flakes off and falls away. A proven method for maintaining the soldering tip - tin it. After initially heating the soldering iron, apply a bit of solder to its tip and remove the excess, for example, with brass shavings. The formed layer of solder protects against oxidation. It is advisable to tin the soldering tip every time you finish working.
Attention!
Soldering irons powered directly from the mains socket must have a plug with a grounding pin and must be supplied from a socket with grounding. If the metal housing of the heater is not grounded, there is a risk of electric shock, which in the best case will result in burns. All "Sthor" brand soldering irons have a grounded plug, which is connected to the metal heater housing.
