All about the product

Training and competitions are part of a professional cyclist's daily routine.
Due to excellent mechanical quality and impeccable balance between weight and stiffness, the "QED" series chainring meets the most stringent training and competition requirements, allowing for a constant feel of mechanical precision and power.

7075 ultra-light aviation aluminum
The 7075 aviation-grade aluminum alloy boasts exceptional physical properties – wear resistance, deformation resistance, high stiffness, and extremely low weight. The chainring made from this alloy weighs only 143 g while maintaining excellent performance characteristics.
Considering the load contour from FEA technical analysis, the construction is reinforced in areas where the highest forces concentrate, thus reducing deformation under high loads. This allows achieving an ideal balance between weight, stiffness, and durability – exactly what professional cyclists require during training and racing.
*The "QED" lightweight split chainring has passed over 100,000 fatigue tests and over 40,000 km of endurance tests.
Data obtained from "Magene Lab".

CNC machining technology
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is a precision manufacturing process technology that ensures uniform and precise standards. The application of CNC technology allows all parts to operate harmoniously and smoothly. Advanced CNC cutting and positioning technology features exceptional precision and efficiency.

Self-developed tooth shape
After many design iterations and studies evaluating the performance and wear characteristics of different chainring tooth shapes, the "QED" lightweight split chainring features a new generation, third-version, self-developed tooth design.
Improved parameters of the root, groove, and tooth shape ensure better mechanical transmission under high loads. The chain securely "grips" the chainring and smoothly shifts from a smaller to a larger chainring.
The chain can shift to a larger chainring with just 1/5 of a rotation – ensuring quick and accurate shifting under various conditions and at different speeds.
Increased distance between the teeth has further strengthened the construction, extending its lifespan. The chain and chainring's operational lifespan has increased by approximately 3% compared to the previous version.

110BCD 4-bolt chainring mounting
The "QED" lightweight split chainring uses the widely adopted 110BCD 4-bolt standard, which reduces weight and provides broad compatibility.
Besides the chainring, "Magene" also offers a power meter with an integrated spider solution. It can be used with the exclusive "QED P505" flagship power meter or the "PES P505" basic model as needed.
The "QED" split chainring is compatible with 11 and 12-speed "Shimano" groups.
Not compatible with "Shimano" cranks and similarly styled models.
