TECHNOLOGIES
MIPS – MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a multi-directional impact protection system that can be applied in helmets for various purposes. MIPS was developed to improve helmet safety in the event of side impacts, both in recreational and outdoor sports activities, such as climbing, mountain biking, and motorcycling. MIPS is a moving layer integrated into the inner part of the helmet – close to the head. This moving layer is not firmly attached but can move forward and backward 10-15 millimeters. In the event of a side impact, this movement allows the helmet's construction to redirect the rotational forces affecting the head and brain, utilizing a sliding motion. Therefore, helmets with an integrated MIPS system provide a higher level of protection than standard helmets.
To choose the right helmet size, measure your head circumference. It is recommended to measure about 1.5 cm above the ears.
Wearing an UVEX helmet ensures your safety. Each helmet is thoroughly tested in the laboratory, so UVEX guarantees the highest quality and functionality. Meets standards: EN 1078
