614 ERGOWAVE® Active model combines the best features of the most renowned ERGOWAVE® saddles – 611 (MTB) and 612 (Road) .

This is exactly the purpose of the 614 ERGOWAVE® Active 2.1 – the new gravel saddle from SQlab . This model combines the advantages of the 611 (MTB) and 612 (Road) saddles: the narrower shape ensures maximum freedom of movement for the legs off-road, while the padding of the 611 model provides additional cushioning and comfort when riding on uneven trails.
SQlab Active technology adds extra comfort, especially when riding a gravel bike, as it encourages mobility of the spinal discs. The high-quality Kevlar cover protects the most stressed areas of the saddle.

ACTIVE 2.1 – Protection of spinal discs and sit bones

The special Active construction allows the pelvis to move naturally horizontally – thus recreating the so-called pelvic rocking movement similar to that of walking.

Sport 2.1 version has made this technology lighter and even smoother, thus increasing comfort in the sit bone area and reducing pressure on the spinal discs. As a result, the mobilization of spinal discs has become even more noticeable. Smaller elastomers allow for even more precise adjustment of lateral movement according to personal needs.

ERGOWAVE® – Performance enhancement through perfect ergonomics

Ergowave® shape was developed during the SQlab research project in collaboration with the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and the Frankfurt University Hospital , supported by the German Ministry of Economics and Technology .

Based on comprehensive calculations analyzing the interaction forces between the human body and the bicycle saddle, a shape was created to ensure optimal pressure distribution even under maximum loads. This allows for a sporty sitting position on both road and mountain bikes.
