The Levenhuk New Wise PLUS 8x42 monocular is a compact yet powerful optical device. It is perfect for observing nature, as well as for viewing sporting events or architectural details. The one-handed design allows for easy observation. Weighing just 358 grams, it is lightweight and compact enough to fit into a jacket pocket or small bag, making it ideal for taking on hikes and walks.

The optical system is based on high-quality BaK-4 glass prisms. They ensure excellent light transmission and accurate color reproduction. The surfaces of all lenses are coated with multilayer coatings, and the objective lens and eyepiece are treated with a special wide-band coating. Together, these layers reduce light loss and internal glare, which is essential for maintaining image clarity in bright sunlight or twilight. The optical design with 5 lens elements in 4 groups creates sharp, detailed images across the entire field of view.

With 8x magnification and a 42 mm objective lens, this monocular offers a wide 6.3° angular field of view, which is equivalent to 110 meters at 1000 meters distance. A high twilight factor of 18.3 and a large 5.25 mm exit pupil ensure effective performance in various lighting conditions - from bright daylight to low-light situations. With a 17.2 mm eye relief and retractable eyepiece, the monocular is designed for comfortable observation, even for users with glasses. The diopter adjustment ring on the eyepiece offers a ±5D range, allowing easy customization of the view according to your vision. A smooth focusing wheel allows rapid and precise adjustments. The close focusing distance of just 2 meters enables detailed examination of plants and other nearby objects.

The body is made of durable ABS plastic and is filled with nitrogen. This design prevents internal fogging during sudden temperature changes. Its IP67 rated construction ensures dust and water resistance in challenging environments, such as rain, snow, or high humidity. With an operating temperature range of -20°C to +55°C, the monocular guarantees reliable performance throughout the year in nearly any climate.

For extended observation, it features a standard tripod mount (tripod sold separately).
