All about the product
"Super Lube" silicone oil 100 cSt – stable silicone lubrication over a wide temperature range
"Super Lube Silicone Oil 100 cSt" is a linear chain polydimethylsiloxane liquid designed to ensure stable lubrication over a wide temperature range. Due to its low viscosity change with temperature, it is suitable for rubber and plastic parts, instruments, and controlled motion systems.
Pure silicone liquid for rubber and plastic partsThis oil provides excellent lubrication for various rubber and plastic components. Its chemically inert formulation, spreading, and wetting properties allow it to be smoothly applied to suitable surfaces.
100 cSt medium viscosityThe 100 cSt viscosity at 25 °C gives the oil a liquid consistency, which flows easily and remains suitable for damping, flow control, and motion management technologies. The manufacturer also recommends this viscosity for instruments, gauges, and devices subjected to extreme temperatures and high pressure.
Wide working temperature rangeThe specified working temperature range is from -50 °C to 200 °C. The low viscosity variation at high temperatures, -55 °C freezing point, and flash point exceeding 300 °C allow usage in complex thermal environments.
Dielectric and thermal conductivity propertiesThe 100 cSt class conductivity dielectric strength at 25 °C is 16 kV/mm, refractive index is 1.403, and thermal conductivity is 0.16 W/m °C. The manufacturer states that it is suitable for laboratory baths, thermal transfer requirements, optics research, LED technologies, and sensor technologies.
NSF H1 registered"Super Lube" silicone oil is NSF H1 registered, number 151067, for incidental food contact and meets previous USDA H1 guidelines. It is not described as suitable for direct food contact.
Typical application areas- Rubber and plastic parts
- Exercise equipment, treadmills, and guide rails
- Zippers, tents, fabric, shoes, and sealing strips
- Flow, temperature, and motion control systems
- Devices, gauges, meters, and timing devices
- Steering columns, shock absorbers, and vibration dampers
- Laboratory baths and thermal transfer systems
- Food processing equipment and suitable packaging surfaces
- Optics research, LED technologies, and sensor technologies
Clean and dry the area to be treated, apply silicone oil, and if necessary, reapply. The manufacturer recommends testing for suitability under intended operating conditions. The recommended shelf life is five years in the original packaging under acceptable environmental conditions.
