All about the product
OilStick
"OilStick" is a dripping lubricant designed for routine maintenance of 3D printers. It coats linear rails, Z-axis lead screws, guide rods, bearings, and bushings with a thin, controlled layer of machine oil without creating the mess that comes from using a standard bottle. The rotating mechanism fills the brush tip with the right amount of oil needed to perform the task, allowing maintenance to be done in just a few seconds.

A standard oil bottle typically has two settings: nothing or too much. This isn’t an issue on a rusty hinge, but on a precision device like a 3D printer, an overdrip can end up on the rail, print bed, or table, rather than just where it's needed. The "OilStick" brush tip is designed to apply oil in a controlled amount.
OilEach "OilStick" lubricant stick is filled with PTFE-enhanced machine oil, selected for smooth movement, even distribution, and long-lasting lubrication. It’s meant for linear rails, Z-axis lead screws, guide rods, bearings, and bushings, helping to reduce wear, squeaking, and rough movement over time. One stick contains enough oil for about a year of regular maintenance for a 3D printer.

The "OilStick" is compact and lightweight, about the size of a marker, making it fit easily in a drawer, toolbox, or pocket. Its slim form allows for easier access to hard-to-reach areas around rails, rods, and the printer frame, and a well-visible label helps it stand out in a cluttered workspace instead of getting lost among tools and spare parts.
TipThe brush tip provides a level of control that a standard oil bottle cannot offer: instead of a stream or one big drop, the bristles spread the oil in a thin, even layer across the surface. The brush holds just enough oil for the job, so drops don’t fall where they shouldn’t leak, such as on the printing surface.

By twisting the cylinder, oil is slowly pushed into the brush tip, filling only the necessary amount rather than an unpredictable stream. No need to press or pour; just twist and click to refill the brush before the next pass along the rail or rod.
Designed for 3D printer maintenance"OilStick" was developed by Slant 3D, a large 3D printing company, as an internal tool to ensure smooth operation of a high volume of printers. With so many machines to maintain, small drops accumulate quickly and over-lubricated rails become an issue, so a lubricant was created specifically designed for the precise and low-pollution use in 3D printers.
