The bicycle chain is a key element of any bike transmission system. It plays a very important role in transferring power to the rear sprocket, which rotates the rear wheel, thus propelling the entire bike. It is crucial to continuously care for the chain, as proper maintenance will allow you to enjoy cycling rather than struggle.
The 112-link 12.7x3.2 mm single-row Bicycle Gear chain will be beneficial when it comes time to replace it. While using the bike, signs of wear on the internal rollers and pins appear in the chain, which increases its length.
How to choose the right chain length?
The chain length is calculated by adding the number of teeth on the large chainring to the number of teeth on the largest sprocket in the cassette, dividing the result by two, and remembering that. Then measure the distance from the bearing center to the center of the rear axle in centimeters and divide it by 0.635.
