SQlab 614 Ergowave Active 2.1 saddle – black

614 ERGOWAVE® Active model combines the best features from the famous ERGOWAVE® saddles – 611 (MTB) and 612 (Road) .

Gravel type bike is a true universal: suitable for both road and off-road – it is an excellent choice for those who value comfort. This is precisely the purpose for which the 614 ERGOWAVE® Active 2.1 was created – a new "gravel" type saddle from SQlab . This model merges the advantages of 611 (MTB) and 612 (Road) saddles: the narrower shape ensures maximum freedom of leg movement off-road, while the cushioning of the 611 model provides additional absorption and comfort on uneven paths.
SQlab Active technology adds extra comfort, especially when riding a "gravel" bike, as it promotes the mobility of spinal discs. High-quality Kevlar cover protects the most stressed areas of the saddle.

ACTIVE 2.1 – Protection for spinal discs and sit bones

The special Active construction allows the pelvis to move naturally in a horizontal direction – thus recreating the so-called pelvic sway similar to the movement occurring during walking.

Sport 2.1 version has made this technology lighter and even smoother, thus increasing comfort in the area of sit bones and reducing pressure on spinal discs. As a result, the mobilization of spinal discs has become even more noticeable. Smaller elastomers allow for even more precise adjustment of lateral movement according to individual needs.

ERGOWAVE® – Performance enhancement through perfect ergonomics

Ergowave® shape was developed during a research project by SQlab in collaboration with the Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences and Frankfurt University Hospital with support from the German Ministry of Economics and Technology .

Based on comprehensive calculations analyzing the forces of interaction between the human body and bicycle saddle, a shape was developed that ensures optimal pressure distribution even under maximum loads. This allows maintaining a sporty sitting position for both road and mountain bikes.
