Superior GlassProtect Jeweller

"Superior GlassProtect Jeweller" – a wireless glass break sensor with an electret microphone. It belongs to the "Superior" product line designed for professional security projects, offering advanced features, higher quality equipment, and extended certification.

The sensor uses a digital "DualTone" algorithm that reliably detects the sound of breaking glass and reduces false alarms. With a detection range of up to 9 m, three sensitivity levels, and easy installation without removing the cover, it can be used on objects of various sizes.

"Superior" – a product line for projects

"Superior" is a project-based line of wireless "Ajax" devices with advanced equipment, improved certification, and easy installation. Compared to the standard version, the "Superior GlassProtect Jeweller" features a locking screw for secure mounting on the "SmartBracket", a high-quality battery ensuring stable operation in any temperature, and complies with international and local safety standards.

Two-stage glass break detection – "DualTone"

The "DualTone" algorithm analyzes the sound in two stages: first registering a muffled low-frequency impact, then the high-frequency sound of breaking glass – both must occur within 1.5 seconds. This two-stage confirmation reduces false alarms caused by dog barking, transportation, or water. Three sensitivity levels can be set remotely via the "Ajax" app.

Detection range up to 9 m, angle 180°

The "Superior GlassProtect Jeweller" detects glass breaking from up to 9 m away when set to high sensitivity. The horizontal 180° detection angle covers the entire glass area in the room with a single sensor. It supports standard glass sheets, insulating double glazing, and tempered glass.

Battery life of up to 7 years

The sensor comes with a pre-installed high-quality "Panasonic" CR123A battery. "Ajax Systems" individually tests each battery to guarantee declared parameters. The battery capacity remains stable from -10 °C to +40 °C temperature range, regardless of environmental temperature fluctuations.

Wireless "Jeweller" technology – range up to 1,700 m

"Jeweller" is a patented "Ajax" two-way radio protocol operating at 868 MHz frequency with GFSK modulation. It encrypts all transmitted data with a block encryption algorithm using a dynamic key and employs frequency hopping to protect against interference and eavesdropping. Automatic power management saves battery life and reduces interference from surrounding electronics.

Continuous system status monitoring

All "Ajax" devices perform automatic self-checks and send status updates to the hub. The security sensor, power, signal strength, and sensor status are continuously monitored. In case of connection loss (detected within 36 seconds), the installation company and users are immediately notified. The current sensor status is always visible in the "Ajax" mobile and desktop applications.

Tamper resistance

The sensor cover includes a tamper button that immediately alerts the security center and user about attempts to remove it from the wall or "SmartBracket" mounting plate. The locking screw physically prevents removal of the sensor without tools. During each connection session, the hub checks the unique device parameters – commands from unauthenticated devices are ignored.

Integration of wired NC sensors

The "Superior GlassProtect Jeweller" has a terminal block to connect external wired sensors with NC contacts. This allows existing opening, motion, or vibration sensors to be integrated into the "Ajax" system without replacing them. The power supply for the external sensor must be provided separately.

Easy installation and remote configuration

The "SmartBracket" mounting plate allows the sensor to be attached to the wall without removing the cover. Pairing with the hub is done by scanning a QR code in the "Ajax" app. All settings – sensitivity, testing, zone names – can be configured remotely from anywhere, without the need for physical visits to the site.

Scalability for large objects

Using "ReX 2" repeaters, the system’s radio range can be significantly extended – up to 5 repeaters in one system will cover underground parking lots, warehouses, or industrial halls. Additionally, "ReX 2" supports Ethernet as a backup communication channel for stable connectivity even through reinforced concrete. One "Ajax" hub can accommodate hundreds of devices in one clear interface.

Data encryption and eavesdropping protection

All data stored in the system and transmitted between devices is protected with block encryption using a dynamic key. Encryption, combined with device authentication, makes sensor reprogramming or data interception virtually impossible. The system also reports attempts to jam the radio signal.
