TECHNOLOGIES
MIPS – MIPS (Multi-Directional Impact Protection System) is a multi-directional impact protection system that can be applied in various types of helmets. MIPS was developed to enhance helmet safety against lateral impacts during recreational and outdoor sports activities such as climbing, mountain biking, and motorcycling. MIPS features a moving layer integrated into the inner part of the helmet - close to the head. This moving layer is not firmly attached and can move back and forth by 10-15 millimeters. In the event of a lateral impact, this movement allows the helmet's construction to redirect the rotational forces affecting the head and brain, utilizing a sliding motion. Therefore, helmets with integrated MIPS provide a higher level of protection than standard helmets.
To choose the right helmet size, measure your head circumference. It is recommended to measure with a tape about 1.5 cm above the ears.
Wearing a UVEX helmet ensures your safety. Each helmet is carefully tested in a laboratory, so UVEX guarantees the highest quality and functionality. Complies with standards: EN 1078
