YATO YT-85689 – a cordless washable vacuum cleaner that simultaneously vacuums dirt, cleans hard floors, and collects used water. It operates with YATO 18 V Li-Ion batteries, features a brushless motor, reaches up to 12 kPa suction power, and offers three operating modes.
This is the "body" version: battery and charger are not included . The package includes the vacuum itself and a station with charging and automatic roller cleaning functions. Clean and dirty water are stored in separate 550 ml containers, and the weight of the vacuum is 4.3 kg.
Simultaneous vacuuming and floor washing
The vacuum cleaner collects dust, sand, hair, pet fur, and other daily dirt in one working cycle, dispenses clean water onto the rotating roller, and sucks up dirty water from the floor. This cloth function allows for vacuuming and washing hard surfaces without performing two separate tasks.
Two separate 550 ml containers are used for clean and dirty water. This design allows the cleaning roller to be moistened with clean water, while the used water along with collected dirt is directed to another reservoir.

Three operating modes
- Smart mode: suction power and water supply are automatically adjusted according to the surface contamination. This mode is intended for daily cleaning and light stains.
- Maximum mode: uses the maximum suction power and dispenses more water. It is designed for more stubborn dirt and dried stains.
- Dry vacuuming mode: collects dry dirt without dispensing water. This mode can be used independently or before floor washing.
Brushless motor and 12 kPa suction power
The brushless motor has no wearing carbon brushes. The maximum suction power of 12 kPa is designed for collecting everyday dry dirt and dirty water produced during washing.
The vacuum cleaner uses an unmixing dirt collection system. The IPX4 protection class means that the design is protected against water splashes, but the device cannot be submerged in water or washed under a water stream.
Automatic roller cleaning
After finishing work, the vacuum is placed in the included station, and the automatic cleaning function is activated. The system rinses the cleaning roller and internal channels with clean water. This reduces the need for manual cleaning, but the dirty water container must be emptied and maintained according to the manufacturer's instructions after use.
The station is also designed to charge the battery inserted into the vacuum. Since this is a "body" version, a YATO 18 V battery and a compatible charger are needed, which must be purchased separately or can use those already owned.
YATO 18 V system compatibility
The vacuum is compatible with YATO 18 V Li-Ion system batteries YT-828461 (2 Ah), YT-828462 (3 Ah), YT-828463 (4 Ah), YT-828464 (6 Ah) and YT-828465 (9 Ah). The battery capacity affects the working time and overall weight of the device.
This model does not include a battery and charger. The manufacturer offers a YT-85688 version that comes with a 4 Ah battery and charger, whereas this YT-85689 is just the device version without the battery.
