The GT2 timing belt is made of high-quality rubber with a width of 6 mm. This allows for the transfer of rotational motion from the stepper motor shaft to linear movement, in which the moving parts of the device slide over the pulleys. It is used as a structural component in 3D printers, especially in RepRap self-replicating projects. It is also found in cutting plotters and CNC machines. It does not stretch even when under increased load. The rounded teeth of the belt allow for precise engagement with toothed wheels. This increases the accuracy of motion transfer for the sliding parts of the device. The product is 2 m long.
