What is PLAYFOAM®: The base of Playfoam® is made up of tiny soft foam beads held together by a special binder. You can confidently peel the beads off one by one. (Only if you keep the creations in high heat, the binder may lose its strength. For example, direct summer sunlight is not favorable for the foam ;-) To reinforce long and thin shapes, such as stems, tree trunks, or flowers, insert a stick into the mass (like a popsicle stick, etc.) or use fuzzy wires wrapped in molding foam. (You can find wires in some Playfoam® sets.) The special binder is hypoallergenic and non-toxic and holds the beads together without sticking to furniture, items, or floors. Even a regular carpet withstands contact with Playfoam® without damage! Simply add a small foam bead to a detached piece, and it’s tidied up. This special binder was developed in a lab for over 2 years to meet safety regulations and stringent requirements for its unique properties. Even during long playtime when the foam warms in your hands, it maintains the essential qualities that make Playfoam® so valued by moms.
