Multifunctional Hopper
The new multifunctional hopper can be used as both a single-dose hopper and an adapter for larger batch dosing hoppers. Our line of bean hoppers offers capacities of up to 2 kg.
Smooth Adjustment Dial
The sleek design allows precise and easy adjustment of grind coarseness from espresso to filter. The “Orbit White” and “Black” feature a wide adjustment dial, while the “Orbit Space Gray” has a dial and a locking ring that help mark different grind coarseness settings.
Precise Weight-Based Grinding
The “Orbit” integration with the Moon scale ensures accurate dosing for each grind. It has single and batch modes with automatic start and stop functions. Optimize your coffee preparation for consistency and efficiency.
64 mm Burrs
This grinder features 64 mm SSP grinder blades. The SSP universal set is ideal for very clear coffee and modern espresso preparation.
The grinder is also available with different “Mazzer” grinder sets. The “Mazzer 33M” grinders are designed for classic espresso and balanced filtered coffee preparation.
Customize Your Orbit
Enhance your coffee grinding experience with the “Orbit” app. We designed the “Orbit” app to personalize your workflow. Adjust the grinding speed from 600 to 1500 RPM, customize button actions, and save unique grinding profiles by weight or time. The newly introduced “Reverse-and-Adjust” feature allows you to easily switch from coarse to fine grinding. It is perfect for baristas who daily switch between filtered coffee and espresso.
Energy Saving
“Acaia” believes that our social responsibility is to consciously evaluate our environmental impact. Developed using our own technologies, the “Orbit” grinder is designed to minimize energy consumption while maintaining high industrial performance and smarter grinding.
Burr Alignment
Our team carefully tests each grinder after assembly. This ensures proper functioning, alignment, and grinding quality. During testing, we utilize optical imaging software to evaluate the ground coffee. This allows us to check the expected level of uniformity. We also meticulously measure the distance between the grinder's fixing point and the burr's touching point. Acceptable distances are < 1.5 marks for “Mazzer 33M” grinders and < 1 mark for “SSP” multifunctional grinders.
Orbit Tolerances
All “Orbit” parts are individually measured during the quality control process. This is done to ensure they meet our precise standards and are best matched for the grinding machines. For instance, our grinders must meet or exceed these requirements:
Burr mounting surfaces - 10 microns flatness
Motor drive shafts - 20 microns concentricity
Other critical parts - 20 microns tolerance
This product comes with an EU C/F type plug. Customers from the UK, Ireland, Cyprus, and Malta may require an adapter.
