ILFORD SFX 200 is a medium sensitivity black and white photographic film with extended sensitivity to red light, making it an excellent choice for infrared style photography. When used with a dark red filter, SFX 200 turns blue skies nearly black and green vegetation nearly white, creating an impressive infrared photography effect. Unlike traditional infrared films, SFX 200 can be loaded in subdued light and is compatible with all standard black and white developers, resulting in high-quality, medium contrast negatives. SFX 200 can also be used with other color filters such as yellow, orange, or light red, allowing for equally impressive special effects.
