The blog is unfolding among the ruins of the shattered Jade Monastery. The demonic warlord Gelgus Pust seeks to poison the miraculous, life-giving spring – the Eternal Source, hidden beneath the collapsed fortress. Magically enhanced and possessing restorative properties, this spring provides life to the surrounding lands. However, Pust aims to taint it with his master’s – Nurgle, the Lord of Plagues – foul gifts. Only a ragtag group of heroes and mercenaries stands between the Plague Prince and his ultimate victory. To reach him, they must traverse a landscape twisted and nurtured according to Nurgle's sick whims. In Warhammer Quest: Darkwater, you and up to three friends embody different heroes aiming to cleanse the tainted Jade Monastery. Only by working together and balancing your strengths and skills can you hope to survive. During each quest, you will unveil the demonic Plague Prince's insidious plans. The missions will lead you to dangerous locations filled with threats. However, along the way, you will gain experience and loot to strengthen your chances, until you can finally face the most powerful monsters – including Gelgus Pust himself. This cooperative board game is fast, enjoyable, and easy to learn, yet offers enough interesting choices and increasing complexity to challenge even seasoned players. The flat lay map book format allows you to set up in just five minutes and dive straight into the action. Each hero has unique skills, and randomly drawn quest cards ensure that no two games are the same.
