All about the product

"FlowTech™" hotend for "Creality Ender 5 Max"

"FlowTech Hotend" is an upgrade for "Creality Ender 5 Max", based on "Micro Swiss" "Hyper-CHT™" nozzle and sealed, tight hotend assembly. It is designed to increase printing speed without sacrificing quality and to simplify regular nozzle maintenance compared to the standard hotend.

Hyper-CHT™ nozzle

The "Hyper-CHT" nozzle uses a six-channel internal geometry based on the patented "Bondtech" CHT design, which roughly doubles the internal heating surface area of the nozzle compared to a standard nozzle. This additional surface area allows the filament to melt faster, increasing flow rates by up to 95% and maintaining speeds of up to 62 mm³/s. As the plastic is heated evenly from the inside out, rather than just at the surface, layer adhesion remains strong even at higher speeds, rather than weaker adhesion that can occur when pushing a standard nozzle faster than intended.

Sealed heating core

Unlike the original "Ender 5 Max" heating core, the "FlowTech" heating core is completely sealed. This helps maintain heat more efficiently, resulting in a more stable printing temperature, and protects the internal heating element and thermistor from damage, helping the hotend to last longer.

Sealed nozzle

"FlowTech Hotend" combines the nozzle and titanium thermal break into one permanently sealed assembly. Since there is no separate junction between the nozzle and thermal break where the heating filament could fall out over time, the design remains leak-proof rather than gradually loosening like it does with standard threaded nozzles and separate thermal breaks.

Cold nozzle change

Because the nozzle and thermal barrier are a single sealed unit, changing the nozzle does not require pre-heating it first or later tightening it hot, as is typically done with a standard hot nozzle. The entire change can be performed cold and with one hand, making size changes or replacement of a worn nozzle a quick task rather than a minor production process.

Hardened steel insert

The nozzle tip is made from a hardened steel insert, thermally treated to 68 HRC, coated with electroless nickel, and covered with a non-stick WS2 nano coating that has a friction coefficient of 0.035. This combination is designed to withstand the abrasion of filaments such as carbon or glass fiber much longer than an untreated brass nozzle while ensuring smooth filament movement through the nozzle.

Upgrade without registration

This hot nozzle is precisely matched with "Creality Ender 5 Max", including a matched NTC thermistor, allowing it to be directly replaced with the standard hot nozzle without requiring any hardware or software changes. It is designed to print at temperatures up to 300 °C, which is sufficient for the same general purpose and engineering filaments already used with the "Ender 5 Max".

Expandable nozzle compatibility

This hot nozzle comes with a 0.4 mm "Hyper-CHT" nozzle, but it is designed based on a broader "Micro Swiss" "FlowTech" nozzle ecosystem. In addition to "Hyper-CHT", this range includes brass coated, CM2™ hardened nozzles, high flow CHT, hybrid CHT/CM2™, and "DiamondBack" nozzles, allowing the hot nozzle to be adapted later to another material or wear profile without changing the entire assembly.
