All about the product
The wooden educational STEM constructor "Hydraulic Excavator" is being assembled. The assembled model is controlled manually using a hydraulic system powered by water pressure. The constructor helps children become familiar with the principles of hydraulics, engineering mechanics, and robotics in the simplest way.
Features:
This is a constructor, toy, and educational tool all in one. This fun set has great educational value as it turns complex physics theories into a tangible, playful process.
The model operates without using electricity or batteries: all movement is generated solely by the force of water pressure.
During assembly, the child develops fine motor skills and precision, while testing reinforces scientific concepts. It is perfect for curious minds as it combines creativity with science, encouraging problem-solving and imaginative play. Children can experiment, for example, by using water of different colors (to see which syringe controls what) or modifying the structure to lift heavier objects.
Made from high-quality, non-toxic wood. The wooden parts are smooth and durable; they can be painted or stained in your child's favorite colors.
Easy assembly: simple and clear instructions allow children to assemble the toy with minimal adult supervision, making the set suitable for both independent work and activities with parents.
STEM (Science + Technology + Engineering + Mathematics) is an educational approach that integrates science, technology, engineering, and mathematics into a cohesive learning model to prepare the younger generation for a rapidly evolving technological world.
This is an excellent gift choice, as well as for schools and educational institutions where simple, reliable, and clearly functioning educational models are needed.
Operating principle:
The model has four control syringes connected by flexible tubes to the working syringes on the excavator's lever. The control syringes are attached to the base; pressing them controls the handle. The working syringes are mounted on the excavator's boom mechanism, moving from pressure and performing an action. The syringe system controls the following model movements: raising/lowering the boom, secondary arm movement, opening/closing the bucket, and rotating the structure.
Pascal's law: Children practically see how fluid transmits pressure in all directions in a closed system. They understand that the force applied at one point (in the control syringe) can do work at another point (move the excavator lever).
Mechanical advantage: By building levers, children learn how the length and position of connectors affect the amplitude and power of movement.
Energy transfer: They realize how mechanical energy (pressing the syringe piston) is converted into hydraulic energy and then back into mechanical motion.
Hydraulic transmission: When the child presses or pulls the control syringe piston, water transfers pressure through the tubes to the corresponding syringe on the lever.
Mechanical movement: Water pressure forces the working syringe to push out or retract, which in turn moves the excavator parts: lifting the lever, bending the bucket, or rotating the entire structure.
This set provides an excellent opportunity to discuss alternative energy sources. The model demonstrates how complex mechanisms can operate without using electricity or chemical elements, using only the laws of physics.
Educational value: fundamentals of physics and engineering.
