7075 ultra-light aviation aluminum

7075 aviation-grade aluminum alloy boasts exceptional physical properties – wear resistance, deformation resistance, high stiffness, and extremely low weight. The chainring made from this alloy weighs only 143 g while maintaining excellent performance characteristics.
Considering the load profile from FEA technical analysis, the structure is strengthened in areas where the greatest forces are concentrated, thus reducing deformation under high load. This allows achieving an ideal balance between weight, stiffness, and durability – exactly what professional cyclists demand during training and racing.

CNC machining technology

CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is a precise manufacturing technology that ensures consistent and precise standards. The application of CNC technology allows all parts to work harmoniously and smoothly. Advanced CNC cutting and positioning techniques provide exceptional precision and efficiency.

Self-designed tooth shape

After numerous design iterations and studies evaluating the performance and wear characteristics of different chainring tooth shapes, the "QED" lightweight split chainring received a next-generation, third-version, self-designed tooth design.
Improved parameters of the root, groove, and tooth shape ensure better mechanical transmission under high load. The chain firmly "bites" into the chainring and shifts smoothly from a smaller to a larger chainring.
The chain can shift to a larger chainring in just 1/5 of a turn – ensuring fast and accurate shifting under various conditions and at different speeds.
Increased spacing between teeth has further strengthened the structure, extending its lifespan. The durability of the chain and chainring has increased by approximately 3% compared to the previous version.

110BCD 4-bolt chainring mounting

The "QED" lightweight split chainring uses the widely adopted 110BCD 4-bolt standard, which reduces weight and provides broad compatibility.
In addition to the chainring, "Magene" also offers a power meter with an integrated spider solution. It can be used with the flagship "QED P505" power meter or the "PES P505" basic model as needed.
The "QED" split chainring is compatible with 11 and 12-speed Shimano groups.
Incompatible with Shimano cranks and their similarly styled models.
