Remote Access via Wi-Fi 6 and Ethernet
The Comet Pro is the first GL.iNet desktop KVM device to support both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz Wi-Fi 6 bands simultaneously. This enables remote access without connecting an Ethernet cable. The router also supports Gigabit Ethernet, and the ability to operate over both Wi-Fi and wired network enhances reliability with automatic failover if one of the connections fails.
4K Video and Smooth Real-Time Performance
The device supports 4K@30 FPS video with HD transmission, allowing local and remote video to be displayed simultaneously. The hardware-based H.264 encoding technology supports a low latency of 30–60 ms, ensuring smooth operation when configuring the system, managing the server, accessing the BIOS, and troubleshooting.
Two-Way Audio and Convenient Control
Integrated two-way audio support allows voice communication between local and remote users. This is especially useful for providing remote technical support, training sessions, or online conferences. Additionally, the device features a 2.22-inch touchscreen for quickly managing essential functions such as Wi-Fi configuration and cloud service management.
Access via App, Browser, and Tailscale
The Comet Pro can be managed using a dedicated app for Windows, macOS, Android, and iOS, or through a web browser via the GLKVM platform. Built-in integration with Tailscale allows secure access to the device over a private virtual network without complex configuration. This enables users to manage the device from virtually anywhere with internet access.
Enhanced Security and Self-Hosting
The device supports two-factor authentication (2FA), which increases the security of access to managed devices. An additional security feature is a touchscreen lock that uses a 4-digit code. The Comet Pro also supports self-hosting on Linux and Ubuntu systems, allowing you to manage your remote access server and maintain full control over your data and infrastructure.
Remote Power Management and Full Hardware Control
The Comet Pro works with remote power management accessories such as ATX power management boards and Fingerbot. This allows users to remotely power on, off, and reboot computers even when the device lacks an active internet connection. The integrated Wake on LAN feature also enables waking computers remotely over the network, significantly simplifying hardware management and maintenance.
Compact Design and Extensive Features
Measuring 93 × 84 × 47 mm and weighing 170 g, the Comet Pro easily fits on a desk, in a server room, or in a travel bag.
