The creation and manufacturing process of IWAKO erasers is conducted entirely in Japan, ensuring the highest product quality.

IWAKO erasers are made without any toxic materials. All IWAKO products comply with international toy safety standards: ASTM F963 (USA), CPSIA (USA), EN71 (Europe), KC (Korea), GB (China), GSO (GCC countries), and have CE marking.

MANUFACTURING PROCESS

Creation of a wax model. The craftsman creates a wax eraser model based on a sketch. Here are some fun stories about the inspiration sought during this stage of eraser creation:
– While creating a parfait-shaped eraser, one IWAKO craftsman tasted various parfaits to better express the texture of the dessert and gained quite a bit of weight!
– Once, a policeman caught an IWAKO craftsman photographing a police car for his eraser model.
Production of casting molds. Molds are created for each part of the eraser. For example, for a pizza-shaped eraser, separate molds are prepared for the dough, tomato sauce, cheese, and pepper layers. Each casting mold is checked and improved before mass production begins.
Color mixing. Special attention is paid to colors, as they determine the impression the products will leave. IWAKO aims for the erasers to be as realistic as possible, so color selection and matching is a long, careful testing process.
Casting. IWAKO's secret is the mixing of raw materials. The materials for IWAKO eraser casting are mixed according to a secret formula to best express the features and surface properties of the represented object or character.
Assembly. The completed eraser is hand-assembled from separate parts.

Quality control and packaging. Each eraser is thoroughly checked before being packaged – a strict quality control system ensures that IWAKO products are safe and bring joy to children around the world.
