PRODUCTION PROCESS

Wax model creation. A master creates a wax eraser model based on a sketch. A few fun stories about the search for inspiration at this eraser creation stage:
– While creating a parfait-shaped eraser, one IWAKO master tasted various parfaits to better express the texture of the dessert and gained a lot of weight!
– Once, a policeman caught an IWAKO master photographing a police car for his eraser model.
Mold production. Molds are created for each part of the eraser. For example, separate molds are prepared for the dough, tomato sauce, cheese, and pepper layers to produce a pizza-shaped eraser. Each mold is checked and refined before mass production begins.
Color mixing. Special attention is paid to colors, as they determine the impression the products will leave. IWAKO aims for the erasers to be as realistic as possible, thus color selection and blending is a long, careful testing process.
Molding. IWAKO's secret lies in the mixing of raw materials. The materials for molding IWAKO erasers are mixed according to a secret formula to best express the characteristics and surface properties of the depicted object or character.
Assembly of parts. The finished eraser is manually assembled from separate parts.

Quality control and packaging. Each eraser is carefully inspected before packaging – a strict quality control system ensures that IWAKO products are safe and bring joy to children around the world.
