TECHNOLOGIES
COTTON CASING - Cotton threads are among the thinnest used in tire casing production, making them lightweight and flexible. This property allows for casings with a higher thread count per inch of up to 320 TPI. As a result, the tire adapts better to the road, providing a smoother ride, easier rolling, and improved grip. To ensure casing strength, Vittoria uses special Corespun threads made from cotton and aramid fibers.
GRAPHENE TECHNOLOGY IN TIRE PRODUCTION - Graphene is an advanced material used by Vittoria in tire composition to enhance performance characteristics. Graphene is a thin material but is also one of the strongest materials used in various product manufacturing. Its structure consists of a single layer of carbon atoms (hexagonal lattice) that interacts with rubber, filling the gaps between rubber molecules. It acts like a magnet, bringing the rubber molecules closer together and improving the rubber structure. The main properties of graphene are: thinness, strength, flexibility, and lightness.
GRAPHENE + SILICA COMPOUND - Silica used in conjunction with graphene enhances tire properties, ensuring longer riding distance and better grip, thus improving the riding experience. Additionally, this compound reduces tire weight and increases performance characteristics. Vittoria's laboratory tests have shown that using a graphene and silica compound, compared to a standard compound, improves these performance metrics: 9% higher speed, 32% better grip, puncture resistance – 21%, extended service life, and reduced tire wear.
