Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS IF UMC is an extremely bright, prime lens designed to work with digital cameras fitted with full-frame or APS-C sensors. Its optics comprises 13 lens elements in 12 groups. Four lens elements are made of the low dispersion (ED) glass, that minimizes the level of chromatic aberration, there are also two aspherical elements preventing the spherical aberration effect. Just like the other Samyang products, this lens uses multi-layered anti-reflective UMC coatings to ensure good light transmission. Thanks to its sophisticated optical construction, the lens gives an exceptional image quality even with the aperture fully opened.Samyang 24mm f/1.4 ED AS IF UMC with Nikon F mount has been additionally equipped with an electronic circuit to control exposure parameters from the camera level and take full advantage of the benefits provided by the i-TTL flash system. Thanks to the detailed parameters connected with the range of available apertures, focal length and focus confirmation, shooting with Samyang lens is easier and more comfortable.
The model gives a wide angle of view that is extremely useful in landscape and architecture shooting and, when used on an APS-C format camera, it can be also used as a standard lens with a universal focal length of 36 mm.
