All about the product
This is a completely new derailleur mechanism, specially designed and optimized to be motor-driven rather than cable-driven. AXS components allow them to be customized according to the individual cyclist's taste using the AXS app. It has a shorter leg to provide a 10 mm greater clearance, and the cassette is more wrapped with the chain to be slightly further forward and further inward than the mechanical "Eagle". Eagle AXS derailleur is smart enough to protect itself due to an incredibly durable overload clutch. In the event of a shock, the motor gearbox disconnects, allowing the derailleur mechanism freedom to move and instantly returns to its position so the cyclist can ride smoothly. The system has been tested according to the IP69K water and dust protection standard to protect against riding through streams, mud splashes, and being washed under pressure after riding.
