The Levenhuk Halo 20X PLUS monocular is designed for observation during the day and night. This miniature device has many settings and provides its owner with many possibilities to work in both daylight and complete darkness.
In addition to standard color images during the day and black and white at night, using special visual effects, you can obtain two more types of images: glowing green and color images. You can also turn on the monochrome mode for daytime observations. The monocular has digital magnification, which can be adjusted from 1 to 8 times. The viewing angle is 10° – the monocular itself is quite miniature and has a small objective lens. The minimum working distance is 3 m.
The monocular features an enhanced night vision mode that creates a picture that is twice as bright as in the usual night vision mode. There are a total of 7 infrared illumination levels available. The desired level is set manually, depending on the amount of ambient light. In complete darkness, the device's operating distance reaches 250–300m; in low light, the observation range is unlimited.
The monocular has a built-in recorder designed for taking photos and videos during the day and night. You can also apply visual effects to them. The captured results are saved on a “microSD” card: photographs in JPG format and videos in AVI format. They can be viewed on the device itself or displayed on a computer by inserting the memory card or connecting the monocular to the computer via a USB Type-C cable.
For nearsighted or farsighted individuals, the monocular has a diopter adjustment ring. There is a focusing ring for focusing at a specific distance: these elements will help keep the image clear and focused. The housing of this model is made of plastic and metal and is covered with a special silicone coating. An IP54 protection class means that the device can be used in dusty areas and near splashes of water. The monocular can be used in ambient temperatures ranging from –20 to +50°C; the storage temperature ranges from –30 to +60°C.
Powered by a built-in rechargeable battery. It charges via USB Type-C. The charging process is indicated by a light: If the indicator lights up red, the device is charging, and if the indicator is off, the device is fully charged and ready for use. A full charge lasts for 13 hours in day mode and 5 hours with infrared illumination turned on. There is an automatic shut-off function.
Please note: IR illumination (infrared radiation) may be detected by photo and video cameras, as well as other similar electronic devices during operation.
