The cable is suitable for extending USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 cables by another 10 m. The length of standard USB cables is limited to 5 m. By using a USB 3.0 optical cable, the cable can be extended by 10 m, making the total length up to 15 m.
The cable achieves true USB 3.0 transfer speed and is compatible with USB 2.0.
