All about the product
Plastic made from HIPS is used as a cartridge for 3D printers. Its diameter is 1.75 mm. The set consists of 1 kg of black plastic. It requires a heated bed. It is a support material for ABS due to their similar properties. After printing, the model needs to be immersed in a HIPS dissolving solution. The dissolving process takes from 8 to 24 hours. It should be stored in a non-humid place.
The plastic is wound on a spool and vacuum packed with a desiccant. It can be used in all FFF printers that are not protected from the use of material obtained from an external supplier, as well as in open-source projects. Among other things, HIPS plastic can be used as a main or support material for ABS in dual-head printers. HIPS can be easily processed by sanding or drilling, and the material dissolves in D-limonene solution.
