Water-soluble support materials
“Fiberlogy” BVOH filament is a butene-diol-vinyl alcohol copolymer. It can be used to print perfect prototypes, complex structures, and moving mechanisms. It is particularly useful in cases where traditional supports can be difficult to remove or are insufficient to achieve a satisfactory final printing result. Using BVOH, printing very complex 3D objects is extremely simple.
Supports created using BVOH filament are very easy to remove. After printing the 3D model, simply place it in warm water and the support filament will completely dissolve. As a result, the actual model will be noticeably of better quality than in the case of supports that need to be broken off.
BVOH filament can be used in printers with a dual extruder. It has a high adhesion to various types of materials. It can be combined with popular materials such as PLA, ABS, PET-G, ASA, flexible filaments (e.g., TPU), and others.
Filaments should be stored in a dry place, such as a sealed bag, to prevent the material from absorbing moisture and degrading its properties.

How to print BVOH ?
The parameters listed below are only suggested printing settings for this material. To ensure the best printing quality, it is essential to select the appropriate settings for the specific printer and printing conditions.
Nozzle temperature 190-220 °C
Print bed temperature 50-70 °C
Enclosed chamber - not necessary
Cooling 75-100%
Print speed < 35 mm/s
Retraction (direct) 2-3 mm
Retraction (Bowden) 4-6 mm
Retraction speed 20-45 mm/s
Drying conditions 50 °C / 4 hours
