Infiltration tunnels are installed on a gravel base, and their upper part is wrapped in geotextile and covered with soil. The curved tunnel design reduces the risk of film tearing. The tunnel is closed off at the sides with caps, but access to the tunnel is left through a 200 mm diameter plastic opening.
