The printer's firmware utilizes Input Shaper and Pressure Advance technologies to eliminate vibration during printing and predict filament flow. As a result, the device can achieve speeds up to twice as fast as the MK3. According to the manufacturer's tests, the printer can print the SpeedBoatRace Benchy model in 14 minutes and the Bonkers Benchy model in 8 minutes. Additionally, the MK4S operates very quietly even at such speeds.

A durable construction and new precise 0.9° Trinamic 2130 stepper motors on the X and Y axes reduce vertical rippling in prints (Vertical Fine Artifact). Furthermore, the Z axis features thicker, 10mm rods. The result of these improvements is very good quality of the produced models, even when using complex filaments.

The MK4S uses an innovative 360° cooling system consisting of an efficient turbine and improved airflow. This solution ensures free airflow around the print, which is much more effective than traditional unidirectional fans. It allows for printing overhangs with angles up to 75° without the need for supports. Fewer supports mean faster printing times and less wasted material.

The MK4S is equipped with an innovative high-flow nozzle based on CHT technology. This allows for much faster printing while ensuring greater durability of the prints. Compared to the standard MK4 nozzle, the new nozzle offers a material flow improvement of 50% to 114%, which means significantly better efficiency and print quality.

The innovative direct extruder Nextruder features many new functions, and its internal LoveBoard auxiliary board ensures quick and easy replacement of parts such as thermistors, fans, or heaters. Additionally, the Nextruder uses quickly interchangeable nozzles and has a Hall sensor that detects the end of the heating filament.

Achieving a perfectly flat bed is a significant challenge for 3D printers. Fortunately, the Prusa MK4S head includes a tension gauge that automates this process. The nozzle touches the bed and moves across a grid of measurement points, measuring the distance and calculating the correct offset. The result is a perfect first layer on any surface, without the need for manual adjustment.

The MK4S features a WiFi module and Ethernet port, allowing you to control the printer from anywhere using the Prusa Connect platform. Each connected printer has its own dashboard from which you can manage its operation. To enhance security, the connection between the platform and the printer is encrypted.

With the app, you can easily monitor your printers, manage ongoing tasks, and remotely start, pause, and stop printing, no matter where you are. Additionally, the app allows direct access to Printables, and if your project has a ready-to-print file, you can start printing immediately without using a slicer.
