Over the years, Ugears has created several beautiful and complex train models, including a locomotive, the V Express engine with a carriage, and the Hogwarts™ Express. The “Mini Locomotive” is a simple DIY easy-level train model that anyone can build, including young train enthusiasts. This rubber-powered wooden train model (locomotive and carriage) packs surprisingly much speed into its compact package, capable of traveling more than 2 meters in one go. The elegant retro style takes us back to the 1930s, the last decade when coal-fired locomotives dominated.
The locomotive features a winding ratchet key, a start/stop switch for easier control, and three paired main wheels with crankshafts so the train can race over any flat surface. The locomotive is connected to an open coal tender that can carry a favorite toy, snack, or note for a loved one across the room!
