The Shelly 3EM-63T Gen3 is a compact 1/3-channel energy meter designed to monitor three-phase installations or three independent single-phase circuits. With its flat terminals and housing designed to be mounted above or below an overcurrent circuit breaker, it easily fits into standard switchboards. This small device is ideal for homes, apartments, businesses, and photovoltaic installations - wherever precise control of energy consumption is important.
Shelly 3EM-63T Gen3 is a solution for everyone - whether you want to monitor energy consumption in the household, assign consumption to specific departments in the company, or supervise power production from PV panels. The device supports both three-phase installations and three independent single-phase lines, allowing it to fit almost any configuration. In addition, thanks to 4-quadrant metering, the meter records both energy consumed and energy given off, which is useful, for example, in photovoltaic and hybrid systems.
The module connects to the network via Wi-Fi and Bluetooth - without the need for an external gateway. It can be managed from the Shelly Smart Control app, web interface, or via MQTT, HTTP, and WebSocket protocols. All incoming connections are protected by TLS encryption. In turn, data can be exported in CSV or JSON format.
The Shelly 3EM-63T Gen3 offers measurement of voltage, current, active and apparent power, power factor, and energy - with accuracy that meets Class B (IEC 62053-21). A built-in clock maintains the correct time stamps even if internet access is lost. Metering data is recorded locally at 1-minute intervals and stored for at least 7 days, giving you access to your consumption history even if you are temporarily not connected to the cloud.
Shelly 3EM-63T Gen3 allows you to create schedules (up to 20) and configure webhooks (up to 20, with up to 5 URLs each). What's more, local automation allows, for example, to respond to instantaneous energy consumption and trigger specific actions, and a built-in "no load threshold" prevents energy counting at very low consumption (less than 30 VA per channel).
The Shelly 3EM-63T Gen3 is also ideal for monitoring photovoltaic systems. It allows simultaneous tracking of energy production and consumption, allowing you to accurately match the operation of equipment to the momentary availability of power from the panels. This makes it easier to reduce the intake from the grid and optimize self-consumption - for example, running energy-intensive equipment at the peak of sunshine.
The device features LEDs to indicate its current status (including Wi-Fi connectivity and OTA updates) and a single button to quickly enter configuration mode or reset to factory settings. It also has a built-in temperature sensor. In addition, it is very easy to install.
The meter works with the Shelly Smart Control app, which allows you to remotely manage the device, view energy consumption, and create schedules and automations. With its help, you can also monitor data, view measurement history, and track energy costs.
