The patented Martiderm filter PHOTO-ACTIVE SHIELD TECH® is activated by exposure to UV radiation. Unlike conventional chemical sunscreens, which break down when exposed to UV rays and reduce their protective effect, PHOTO-ACTIVE SHIELD TECH® is activated by exposure to UV rays. This means that a smaller amount is required and higher protection is achieved with lower concentrations than conventional filters. Due to the smaller amount of filters, allergic skin reactions occur less frequently, protecting the environment. The composition does not contain conventional chemical filters, which usually cause skin irritation, redness, tearing and stinging of the eyes.
