If simple dialing is straightforward, the rest of your phone experience will be just as enjoyable. That's why the ergonomic keypad on the Gigaset E290 with its large buttons now makes using your phone as comfortable as possible. The large buttons are illuminated and clearly marked for easy reading. You can save particularly important contacts on one of the two key repertoires (A and B), for example, people you need to call in an emergency. The direct call function is useful if you only want to be able to call one number from your phone. Then, in difficult situations, you can press any button and the saved number will be dialed.

Large font, great contrast

It's easy to lose track of a phone number, especially when it's very long. Not with the Gigaset E290, though, because its large, backlit, black-and-white display can be configured to your preferred contrast ratio for optimal legibility. In jumbo mode, all dialed digits are displayed extra large. The menu is also very easy to navigate thanks to the single-character mode, where one character is displayed on each page of the display.

With flexible volume control and a variety of ringtones for incoming calls, you can tailor all the audio features of the Gigaset E290 to your needs. For example, you can adjust the earpiece volume to five different levels and even use the amplifier function to double the volume of the current call. Whether you have your ear to the earpiece or are using hands-free mode, you can rely on first-class sound quality and exceptionally clear voice reproduction. Hearing aid compatibility and the ability to adjust the frequency range to the caller's personal hearing capabilities ensure that using the phone is enjoyable for users of all ages.

Easy to install, easy to operate

Using your phone can really be that much more enjoyable - thanks to the convenient features of the Gigaset E290. It starts with the installation experience: Thanks to the plug-and-play technology, setting up the phone is easy - just unpack, connect and start talking. The textured surfaces on the sides ensure a secure hold of the phone, and the intuitively designed menu makes using the phone even easier. Up to 150 contacts can be stored in the large phone book. You can add up to 32 numbers to the blacklist and also specify whether calls from these numbers are to be blocked completely or only indicated with a visual signal (i.e. without ringing). Anonymous calls from hidden numbers can also be handled in this way, so you can choose not to be disturbed by annoying callers.

ECO DECT - calls without radiation

Like all Gigaset cordless phones, the E290 series is equipped with environmentally friendly ECO DECT technology. The phones do not emit radiation when in standby mode, even if you use several handsets, as long as the base and all connected handsets support ECO DECT. During a call, the transmission power automatically adapts to the distance between the handset and the base. The closer the distance to the base, the lower the radiation. To ensure the maximum DECT range, you can deactivate ECO DECT mode at any time.
