Kidde 10Y29 Fire and Smoke Detector with 10 Year Warranty
Optical (photoelectric) smoke and fire detector, powered by a lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable), which guarantees power supply to the device for more than 10 years.
This fire alarm has been designed with a small, compact and modern design. The detector has a combined button with the TEST & HUSH™ function, which is designed to both test and verify that the device is working properly, and to temporarily silence the detector in the event of a false alarm. The device's sensor is designed to constantly monitor the air for smoke. Thanks to the innovative photoelectric detection technology and the use of a NANOWAX conformal layer, which protects the device's electronics even in very humid environments, the detector can be installed near the kitchen or bathroom.

Loud alarm clock!
In the event of a fire, the detector automatically activates a loud 85 dB siren signal , accompanied by a flashing red LED, signaling a fire alarm.
When the combination button is pressed during the alarm, the HUSH function (temporary alarm sound silencing) is activated for approximately 10 minutes . After the time interval has elapsed, the detector will fully automatically reset to its original settings to monitor the fire hazard.
10-year lifespan
Battery operation allows for quick and easy installation and ensures proper smoke and fire alarm operation for 10 years from activation . The power battery is activated after the detector is first inserted into the mounting bracket.
After 10 years of protection and with 30 days remaining, the device will warn of the end of its service life and automatically alert you to the need to replace it.
The fire detector is equipped with a special lock that protects against unwanted disassembly of the device by children or third parties .
Approval of new buildings
The Kidde 10Y29 fire detector uses modern photoelectric (optical) sensing technology and is independently tested to meet all European standards. Of course, both the CE certificate and approval according to the ČSN EN 14604:2009 standard for installations according to Decree 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Sb.), on technical conditions for fire safety in buildings , which stipulates that each new building and designated building must be equipped with autonomous detection and alarm equipment.
At least one smoke detector should be installed on each floor of the house, in front of each sleeping area or right next to the bedrooms.
A working fire detector immediately warns of smoke or fire in the home, doubling the chances of each resident of the home surviving a fire.
Detector testing
The best way to test and maintain a functioning fire alarm sensor is with SAFE 220 spray test gas. This spray test gas checks that fire and smoke alarm circuits and systems are working reliably and actively searches for any smoke particles.
