All about the product
PETG or polyethylene terephthalate is widely used in the production of precision-made products. Filalab PETG plastic is made from a durable and human-friendly co-polyester, which is completely safe to use. It has good flowability and ensures excellent printing results. Compared to PLA, PETG is much stronger and can withstand higher temperatures (up to 70° C). It is perfect for printing mechanical parts.
Print settings
- Printing temperature: – 240° C – 260° C
- Platform temperature – 75° C – 90° C
- Recommended print cooling – 0% - 50%
- Printing speed – 50 mm/s -100 mm/s
- Printing in a closed chamber – unnecessary
Advantages:
- Translucency possible (with certain colors)
- High impact resistance, good toughness
- Recyclable
- No harmful components
- Easy to print
Disadvantages:
- Greater threading possible
- When printing on certain coatings, a release layer is required (window cleaner, pencil glue, etc.)
- Not suitable for printing extremely small details
