The SAFE 10Y30 - BASIC fire detector features a number of new technologies, including SIC for remote alarm silencing using an IR remote control.

The fire detector complies with all standards of the ČSN EN 14604:2009 standard, applicable to installations in accordance with Decree 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Coll.), on technical conditions for fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that each new building and defined building object must be equipped with autonomous detection and signaling equipment and an electronic version of the Real Estate Declaration documentation is proposed, and the building approval procedure must be carried out.

SAFE 10Y30 – BASIC is a smoke fire detector with a timeless compact design, combining the latest hardware and software technologies, adapted to a functional smart detector design, representing a new level of standard in the field of fire safety in residential buildings.

Unique dual-spectrum smoke chamber technology

The dust and insect-proof smoke detection camera has integrated a dual-spectrum optical sensor with blue and infrared LED sources of different wavelengths. The camera design with direct connection to the AI SAFE microprocessor offers the most reliable detection method, which, together with the prediction algorithm, allows you to measure the concentration of microparticles directly in the air and in real time. This unique technology can determine the size of volatile particles in the optical camera and respond only to a real threat in the form of smoke, regardless of the similar composition of water vapor or other vapors.

Only responds to real threats

For fire detection systems in residential buildings, the priority is to inform people about the real danger in a timely manner. The AI SAFE microprocessor was developed based on a detailed analysis of the combustion properties of materials and works with a predictive algorithm that compares data from two spectral optical sensors and filters out the possibility of false alarms in real time. If the recorded data corresponds to liquid water vapor particles or other types of vapor, the detector will not respond. However, if the dynamics of the data model coincides with the actual parameters of fire smoke particles, the detector will immediately activate the fire alarm.

Fire alarm system

If the smoke concentration reaches a set value during detection, the detector automatically activates a loud 85 dB audible alarm, accompanied by a flashing red LED indicator, signaling a fire alarm.

SIC technology and remote alarm silencing with IR remote control

The detector has a combined button with TEST and SILENCE functions, which is intended both for testing and checking whether the device is working properly, and for temporarily silencing the detector. If you know the reason for the fire alarm activation and need to silence the loud acoustic siren signal, you do not need to go through any complicated processes to get to the detector itself and silence it with a button. SIC technology allows you to remotely silence the acoustic signaling by pressing any button on a conventional IR remote control (most household appliance remote controls, e.g. TVs).

No false alarms

The detector's electronic components and board are coated with an insulating and protective varnish layer with IZOVAX nanoparticles, and thanks to the innovative dual-spectrum optical sensing camera technology, which can distinguish smoke particles from water vapor, unlike conventional fire detectors, the device can be installed even in very humid environments (near the kitchen or technical room, dryer).

Guaranteed operational performance for decades

Power is provided by an integrated 3 V lithium battery (built-in, non-replaceable), which guarantees an exceptionally long detector life of over 10 years. Battery operation allows for quick and easy installation and ensures proper smoke and fire alarm operation for over 10 years after activation. The battery is activated after the detector is inserted and secured in the mounting bracket. After 10 years of protection and with 30 days remaining, the detector will notify you of the end of its service life and automatically warn you to replace it. The extended 7-year warranty applies to both the battery and the device itself.

Approval

The SAFE 10Y30 - BASIC fire detector uses modern photoelectric (optical) technology using a dual-spectrum sensing camera and has been independently tested by the accredited German laboratory TÜV as meeting all European standards. Of course, both the CE certificate and approval according to the ČSN EN 14604:2009 standard for installations according to Decree No. 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Coll.), on technical conditions for fire protection of buildings, which stipulates that each new building and defined building object must be equipped with autonomous detection and alarm equipment.

Final approval procedure documents

Pursuant to the Building Act No. 284/2021 Coll. and pursuant to Decree No. 268/2011 Coll. (formerly No. 23/2008 Coll.), on the technical conditions for fire protection of buildings, a building must be equipped with an autonomous detection and alarm system in the form of a fire detector that complies with the ČSN EN 14604:2009 standards based on a fire report. The aforementioned technical parameters must be declared when submitting the documentation for the fire detector as a construction product in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 2014/2015 of the European Parliament and of the Council. The form of the “Declaration of Performance” approved by Regulation (EU) No. 305/2011.

Where to install

At least one smoke detector should be installed on each floor of the house, in front of each sleeping area or right next to the bedrooms.
A working fire detector immediately warns of smoke or fire in the home, doubling the chances of each resident of the home surviving a fire.

Testing

The best way to test and maintain a functioning fire alarm sensor is with SAFE 220 Test Gas Spray . The test gas in this spray checks that the fire and smoke detector circuits and systems are working reliably and actively searches for any signs of smoke particles.
