Celeste C-PL filters are Kenko's most advanced filter line. The name of the new series of filters is taken from the Latin word "caelestis", meaning wonderful, something that exceeds human capabilities. Designed with professional photographers, especially landscape photographers, in mind, they offer uncompromising optical quality. Celeste C-PL effectively controls reflections from non-metallic objects, eliminates reflections from water surfaces, increases contrast and saturates outdoor scenes with deeper color tones. The glass construction uses 18 layers of Super ZR anti-reflective coating - an improved version of Kenko's ZETA filter coating, which offered surprising anti-reflection results. Thanks to this technology, the level of reflected light is 0.3%, which is incredibly low for C-PL filters. Due to the excellent transparency coefficient, Celeste C-PL filters transmit 25% more light than other filters from well-known brands. This means that Kenko Celeste C-PL achieves one of the best results in the world. In addition to its excellent light transmission, the Celeste C-PL has impressive hydrophobic properties. An Anti-Stain Coating (ASC) is applied to both sides of the glass, simplifying cleaning of the filter. The ASC effectively protects the filter surface from water, oily substances and dust. This affects the filter's service life and means that frequent cleaning or dusting of the glass is not necessary. The filter design uses a new frame, which is the result of intensive research by Kenko engineers. Each part is designed and manufactured to the highest standards of quality and precision. The new low-profile Celeste UV frame does not cause vignetting when used with wide-angle lenses and facilitates the quick attachment of the front lens cap. The Celeste C-PL filters are available in sizes from 37 to 82 mm.
