The Radiance Essence-in-Lotion is the first step in Guerlain's Orchidée Impériale Age-Defying Radiance Ritual. It is composed of exclusive dual technology with brightening and age-defying powers, and enriched with ingredients that improve the texture of the skin.The Radiance Essence-in-Lotion offers advanced efficacy in deeply hydrating the epidermis, improving the clarity of the complexion and skin texture.
The Radiance Essence-in-Lotion combines two technologies derived from the power of orchids, selected by Guerlain Research:
- Orchid Noble Light™ Technology combines an extract of the precious orchid Dendrobium nobile with a brightening peptide, acting holistically on the sources of skin dullness and helping to recreate exceptional light*.
- Cell Respiration™ Technology, based on a duo of orchids (Gastrodia elata and Phalaenopsis amabilis), helps combat hypoxia (oxygen deficiency) to increase cellular longevity*, improve the visible signs of ageing and transform the skin into a perfect light booster.
These technologies are combined with a triple progressive resurfacing, pore perfecting and hydrating action to improve skin texture:
- PHAs, exfoliants derived from fermentation, perform a resurfacing action while being kind to the skin. The skin texture is refined and the complexion more even.
- Rose hip extract refines the skin's texture; it makes the surface of pores less visible while minimising slackening and distortion deep inside the pores.*
- The Orchid Essential Water Complex, consisting of an aqueous extract of orchid combined with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid, helps boost the natural hydration process for skin that reflects light perfectly*.

Orchidée Impériale Brightening Radiance Essence-in-Lotion combines two expert technologies derived from the Orchidarium® and Guerlain Research with completely new active ingredients acting on the skin texture for a triple resurfacing, perfecting and hydrating action:
- The exclusive Orchid Noble Light™ Technology, inspired by epigenetics, acts holistically on the main sources of skin dullness, preserves its translucency and reveals a smooth, radiant face. Enriched with a precious orchid (Dendrobium nobile) and a brightening peptide, this technology targets pigmentary disorders*. It targets on the one hand, the production of melanin, on the other hand, the production of collagen*. The skin is more even and toned, clearer and more translucent. It regains its radiance and light.
- Cell Respiration™ Technology, based on a duo of orchids (Gastrodia elata and Phalaenopsis amabilis) and developed by Guerlain Research, helps combat the visible signs of ageing. Over the years, the cells struggle to maintain their oxygen availability. This natural phenomenon, called hypoxia, prevents them from functioning normally, which accelerates skin ageing and dulling of the complexion. In vitro tests have shown that this age-defying complex gives the cells the ability to better self-regulate according to the level of oxygen*.
