The Lindy Cat.6 USB Extender can be used to extend the distance between a USB device and a host computer by up to 50m. It consists of a local unit, which can be connected to the computer or laptop and a remote unit which connects to USB devices like storage devices, perfect for long-distance access to files.Standard, low-cost Cat.5e/6 cable (not included) is used to connect the two units together. For best performance and compatibility, we recommend the use of solid core patched cables.
A power supply can be connected optionally for use with high current USB devices.
