Homematic IP represents a complete revolution in the field of Smart Home, giving you uncompromising German quality, comprehensive solutions and extensive modularity with a large range of devices.
The programmable wireless two-channel switching actuator (HmIP-BS2) for underground installation, powered by a 230 V network, is part of the Homematic IP smart home system.
The device is designed to control lighting circuits (600W/channel for bulbs, fluorescent lamps and halogens, 100W/channel for LEDs), but it can also be used to switch other devices that meet the technical parameters, for example, electric heating.
The two-position rocker switch for manual control of connected devices can be easily replaced with a classic 230 V switch.
The device can optionally be supplemented with the appropriate Cradle Covers with Frame (HmIP-BRU, HmIP-BRA - not included in the package) from Homematic IP or, using the appropriate adapter, with single-button covers and frames from other manufacturers.
Use
Allows you to switch connected light circuits on and off. Connected lights can be controlled manually using the buttons on the actuator holder cover or remotely using the central unit (HmIP-HAP) and the Homematic IP mobile app.
The top button controls one circuit by switching between on and off states, and the bottom button controls another circuit.
Function
Each button can be configured individually. For example, a short press can turn on the light for a set time, while a long press can turn it on indefinitely.
The system allows you to determine the status of the device after a power failure.
In addition to the usual manual load switching functions, the drive can be easily automated depending on, for example, the time of day, the status of the system or other equipment, or perhaps even sensor values.
System flow
The connection of the switching actuator (HmIP-BS2) to the central unit (HmIP-HAP) allows you to conveniently set up and control the complex Homematic IP smart home system using an intuitive application (for Android and iOS CZ) for smartphones. The Homematic IP mobile application allows you to immediately respond to messages and alerts from your smart home system and connects all Homematic IP devices via a free, unlimited cloud, allowing you to set up and control the system from anywhere in the world, transfer important information and device firmware and software updates, transfers configuration and operating commands from the Homematic IP application to individual smart home devices.

Voice control
The Homematic IP smart home system, which includes actuators, supports voice control and connectivity with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa. To ensure a secure, stable and reliable connection, the system has its own unique radio technology between individual devices.
Construction
The switching actuator (HmIP-BS2) is installed in a standard flush-mounted electrical installation box under the plaster with a connection to the 230 V network. Wireless communication allows for installation without secondary cable. This means that the actuator can be placed in a prepared or existing 230 V network electrical distribution point.
With the appropriate adapter, the device can also be used with frames and covers of leading switches from other manufacturers (Busch-Jaeger, Gira, Merten, Berker, Jung, Düwi, Kopp...).
